Slowly but surely reality begins to set in, when you realize that you actually have a wedding to plan, but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. RELATIONAL SKILLS

Working with many different people, whether it’s immediate family members to distant friends to the florist adding vibrance to your day, wedding planning requires some good relational skills. So, you may be wondering what does that look like? Well, the most exciting part goes first, we are your number one hype girl, we’re here to shower you with confidence and sparkle on and up until the day of your wedding. We are your right hand! A good wedding planner also encompasses strengths in leadership, the ability to communicate in an assertive, clear, and concise way, and also is mindful when it comes to the various family members, vendors, and team they are working with. You know the saying “it takes a village,” well we really mean it in this industry!

OCCUPATIONAL SKILLS

Other inherent skills necessary to creating a successful wedding day is the planner’s ability to pay attention to detail and to problem solve, tapping into their creativity, the awareness of urgency, the allowance to be flexible, along with various leadership skills like delegation, multi-tasking, and public speaking. We intentionally work on these skills, always striving to be authentically our best, so that we can take on all these things, so all you have to do is show up, enjoy yourself, and trust that we are capable of helping your dreams become reality.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL SKILLS

As the planner, you are responsible for perhaps the most memorable task at hand, which takes great confidence, a skill that is both innate for some and learned for others. To be the biggest hype girl, the planner must first believe they are capable themselves! Other mental skills of a successful planner look like having the ability to regulate emotions of oneself and those around them, communicating boundaries, and creating priorities so that time is managed effectively. Not to mention, the physical capabilities this role takes like moving items, showing up no matter what, having a posture of readiness, being aware of one’s surroundings, and remaining to have a smile on your face. Wedding planning can be hectic. It includes a good amount of responsibility, where you are physically burdened, also taking up a lot of mental space.
